Everton face competition for young South American defender
Everton are interested in young defender Marcos Senesi, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport.
The 20-year old defender plays in his native Argentina for San Lorenzo, and has attracted attention from a number of clubs across Europe.
Everton have signed a number of relatively unknown players from South America in recent years, namely in Ramiro Funes Mori and Leandro Rodriguez, while Frank Fabra looks likely to join this summer from Boca Juniors.
Senesi could be the latest to join, with the Toffees expected to overhaul their squad this summer, but the club will face competition for him.

The Argentina Under-20s defender is being chased by several large European clubs, including Inter Milan, Roma and Fiorentina, as well as Premier League side Tottenham, according to Argentine football writer Peter Coates.
With several of Everton’s backline on the wrong side of 30, the Toffees could well look to younger options when they strengthen their side this summer.
