Everton star WILL NOT be moving to the MLS this summer
Leighton Baines intends to stay at Everton, despite interest from America. The former England international has no intention of leaving the Toffees as wishes to see out his contract.
The 33-year-old wants to stay and fight for his left-back position which, he has made his own since arriving at the club.
With expected new boss Marco Silva set to replace the recently axed Sam Allardyce, Baines wants to play under the boss and looks forward to seeing his new innovative ideas.
Baines only has 12 months left on his current contract at Everton and The Liverpool Echo report that this week LA Galaxy have approached the club about a potential move. However, the left-back is keen to stay at Goodison Park.
Baines missed 15 league games this season after a calf injury curtailed the Everton veteran’s season. When he returned from the injury, he appeared in the final nine games of the season, helping Everton finish 8th in the table.
