Everton address claims of a big-money bid for striker
Everton have played down suggestions that they have launched a €20 million bid to sign Niclas Fullkrug from Hannover this summer.
Reports had suggested the Toffees were looking to snap up the tall German forward, but that no longer appears to be the case.
German outlet Sportbuzzer, as cited by Inside Futbol, claim that the Premier League side have not entered the race to sign him, with Hannover keen to keep hold of the striker.
There is interest from Gladbach for the striker who scored 16 times in all competitions last season.
Everton struggled for goals last season and extra reinforcement is one of the key areas for Marco Silva to address this summer.
Wayne Rooney, who is set to leave for America, scored 11 goals in the Premier League last season and was the club’s top goalscorer.
Oumar Niasse narrowly trailed Rooney with nine Premier League goals, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored seven times.
