The Argentina international centre back joined Everton from River Plate in the summer of 2015 for around £9.5million, playing 28 league games in his debut season.
Last season, the 27-year old only made a handful of appearances towards the final stretches of the season, having spent the majority of the campaign on the sidelines with a long-term knee injury.
While his most memorable moment is probably when he was sent off for a stamp on Divock Origi in a 4-0 Merseyside Derby defeat, Funes Mori was offered a goal threat and pace at the back for the Toffees.
He made 67 appearances in total for the club, scoring on five occasions.
