Middlesbrough make bid for Funes Mori
Middlesbrough are reportedly bidding £5 million for Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori, according to the Daily Telegraph (via HITC)
Funes Mori will reportedly be one of the victims of the new regime at Goodison Park, with Marco Silva committing to a clear out of his new squad.
Tony Pulis is looking to improve his defence, with Bristol City’s Aden Flint also this week linked with a move to the North East and the Riverside Stadium.
This comes with rumours that Ben Gibson could be leaving Boro, with numerous Premier League clubs including Everton taking a look at the defender.
Funes Mori recovered from a long injury layoff earlier this year, but only made four appearances for Everton last season.
The Argentine defender joined Everton in 2015 from River Plate for a fee of £9.5 million. The defender suffered an injury in 2016 whilst on Argentina duty, and missed the majority of the last two seasons, making only four appearances for the Toffees last season.
