Barcelona make an approach to sign in-demand Everton target

Barcelona have made an approach to sign Hirving Lozano from PSV this summer.

Sport report that the player’s father has confirmed the approach for the Everton target, with the Toffees now facing a fight to land the Mexican international.

Speaking to ESPN, Lozano’s father insisted that his son’s future will not be resolved until the World Cup is over.

There’s been an approach from Barça but there’s nothing clear at the moment. When the World Cup’s over, we will have a better idea of the reality: if he will stay at PSV or move to another team.

The report claims that Barcelona are interested, but there is also said to be competition from Real Madrid and several Premier League sides.

Lozano enjoyed a standout season in the Eredivisie and now a fantastic start to the World Cup in Russia.

The winger scored Mexico’s winning goal against Germany during their opening round of fixtures, something that has not gone unnoticed.

The 22-year-old found the back of the net on 19 occasions for PSV in their title-winning campaign.
