Everton are expected to announced the signing of Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma on Friday morning, with the Frenchman joining on a season-long loan.
The Toffees were successful in submitting a deal sheet before the 5pm deadline on Thursday, meaning they were granted an additional two hours to get the deal done.
While Everton haven’t confirmed whether they were able to wrap up the deal in time or not, Alan Myers explained for Sky Sports that while it may take till the morning to be announced, the deal is expected to go through.
Zouma has been with Chelsea since 2014, but the 23-year old central defender spent last season on loan with Stoke, playing 37 times in all appearances, of which 34 were in the Premier League. He also scored on one occasion for the Potters.
Zouma will become Marco Silva’s seventh signing this summer.
