It has been another busy day around Everton, with transfer discussions beginning to build alongside preparations for Thursday’s Carabao Cup meeting with Newcastle United.
Marcus Rashford has returned to the conversation after a fresh claim over Manchester United’s asking price, while Big Dunc has offered his assessment of Everton’s striker options. Brennan Johnson’s form, the club’s finances and some memorable Newcastle cup history have also provided talking points.
Fresh claim emerges over Marcus Rashford
Everton have reportedly held early discussions over a possible January move for Marcus Rashford, with a fresh report claiming Manchester United could now accept around £30million.
There remains plenty to resolve, and no suggestion that a deal is close, but Rashford’s ability to operate centrally or from the left would provide David Moyes with another attacking option.

Big Dunc was not writing off the summer signing, but his comments underline the lack of competition in a position likely to receive attention when the January transfer window opens.
