Besiktas continue to pursue Tosun deal
Turkish side Besiktas are pressing ahead with their pursuit of Everton striker Cenk Tosun, according to Takvim.
The 27-year-old spent four years with the Black Eagles and only moved to Merseyside in the last January transfer window.
However, the striker has moved down the pecking order under Marco Silva which has led Besiktas to enquire about taking Tosun on loan for the remainder of the season.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman wants to enter talks to reunite with Tosun and bring the attacker back, despite selling him for £27 million nearly a year ago, according to the Turkish media.
Tosun has just two league goals in 10 appearances in the Premier League this season for the Toffees and has struggled to break back into a side enjoying success with the front three of Bernard, Richarlison and Theo Walcott.
The likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman have also been preferred options for Marco Silva at times this season, casting doubts over Tosun’s stay at Goodison Park.
