Everton linked with Uruguayan youngster Edgar Elizalde
Everton are interested in signing highly-rated Pescara youngster Edgar Elizalde, according to FC Inter News.
The 18-year-old defender’s reputation is growing all the time in Italy, even though his game time has been extremely limited.
The fact that both Juventus and Inter Milan are also thought to be monitoring his progress speaks volumes.
Everton Director of Football Marcel Brands will no doubt have to work some magic to acquire his signature.
Elizalde will speak to his representatives in the coming months to discuss his future.
He is also expected to feature for Uruguay in the South American U20 Championships early next year.
Pescara have a history of unearthing top young talent, with the likes of Marco Verratti, Ciro Immobile, Lorenzo Insigne and Lucas Torreira all maturing as players at the Serie B club.
Elizalde joined Pescara from Montevideo Wanderers in 2017 and has made just one league appearance, against Bresica in October 2017.
