Steven Gerrard is keen to bring Everton youngster Kieran Dowell to Rangers, according to the Mirror.
Gerrard has impressed since taking charge of the Scottish giants in the summer, leading them to the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The former Liverpool man is reportedly keen to add creativity to his squad, however, with Dowell someone he feels can do just that.
A January move is thought to be the aim for the highly-rated 21-year-old, should Everton allow him to leave.
Dowell has barely been part of Marco Silva’s first-team plans this season, with just two League Cup appearances to his name.
The England U21 international shone during a loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season and another temporary move elsewhere could further aid his progress.
Two youngsters from across Stanley Park have been thriving under Gerrard this season, with Liverpool duo Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent both catching the eye.
Dowell could be no different, with his technical ability allowing him to shine in Scotland, as Rangers look to break Celtic’s current stranglehold.
