Everton keeping tabs on Porto’s Brahimi
Everton are supposedly monitoring the situation of Yacine Brahimi, according to a report from the Daily Mirror.
The outlet claims Everton scouts were in Portugal to watch the Porto star take on Nacional, a match where Brahimi would score twice.
The 28-year-old has now made 16 Liga NOS appearances so far this season, scoring six goals.
With five Champions League appearances under his belt too, the Algerian international contributed two assists as his side swept all before them in Group D, finishing top without losing a game.
A round-of-sixteen clash with AS Roma looms for the Portuguese champions, but that hasn’t stopped Everton from declaring their interest in the wide-man.
Out of contract at the end of the season, Brahimi would be free to sign wherever he so pleased, and the Toffees are hoping to make themselves known as an option for the former Granada star.
