Five previous players who swapped Arsenal for Everton – Were they successful?

With Everton set to play Watford at Goodison Park on Saturday, many Evertonians will be desperate to see new boy Alex Iwobi in action for the Toffees.

The Nigerian forward joined the club on Deadline Day, penning a five-year contract for a fee believed to be in the region of £28million, which could rise to a potential £34million.

The 23-year old spent four seasons playing for the Gunners, and made 35 Premier League appearances for the North London club last season as Arsenal achieved a fifth-place finish in the table.

Following Iwobi’s high-profile switch, and hopeful debut this weekend against the Hornets, we’ve looked at the last five players before Iwobi to make the jump from the Emirates, or Highbury, to Goodison Park.

(For reference, we are counting senior players who have featured for Everton’s first-team, therefore Joao Virginia hasn’t been counted).
