Who is Brands’ best signing for Everton? Fan Reactions

Several Everton fans have reacted online to who should be considered Marcel Brands’ best signing for Everton.

Since the Dutch sporting director was appointed by Everton last summer from PSV, Brands has brought a number of talented and highly regarded talents to the club, and it is fair to say he has already left more of a positive impression than his predecessor Steve Walsh.

However whether it is Lucas Digne or Andre Gomes, Bernard or Richarlison, it is tough to choose which of the signings brought to the club under Brands’ regime has proven to be the best, or will go on to make the biggest impact.

Responding to a question about the matter on Twitter, a number of Everton fans voiced their view on the subject.

Twitter: @TheGwladysSt Digne so far.
But I have a feeling it may change to kean. Too soon yet though (@goodisonblue2)

Twitter: @TheGwladysSt Cant decide between Gomes, Digne, Bernard or Richarlison. Digne is by far the best signing, but I love em all (@davidjbricey)

Just to answer the question myself, the answer is Lucas Digne.

How Marcel Brands managed to find Leighton Baines’ successor, a Champions League and full international star, for under £20million is astounding. The Frenchman was our best player last season, and he has never had a bad game.

I love Andre Gomes, but Digne takes the cake every single day of the week.
