Fabian Delph has earned an England re-call for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Czech Republic.
The Everton midfielder missed out on the last squad due to injury that prevented him from playing in the Toffees’ opening Premier League games of the new campaign.
Since making his debut for Marco Silva’s side, the 29-year old has established himself as one of the first names on the team-sheet at Goodison Park, owning his midfield role for the Blues.

His re-call comes off the back of some decent personal form, with the former Manchester City man having done his best to fill the void left behind from Idrissa Gueye’s departure.
Delph is joined in the Three Lions set-up by Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane, who are both regulars in Gareth Southgate’s squad.

Delph certainly deserves his re-call for the impact he has made at Everton alone. England’s midfield options are as deep as other areas so perhaps Delph would have qualified regardless, but good domestic form certainly helped his cause.
It is good to see that Michael Keane has really become a regular know, and with players like John Stones out injured for the foreseeable future, it is time for Keane to really stake a claim to partner Harry Maguire at the European Championships next year.
Pickford surely has his place, but for the other Everton duo, it is time for them to really show what they can do on the international stage in these qualifiers.
