Former Everton transfer target Callum Wilson is high among Manchester United’s list of potential striker recruits ahead of the January transfer window.
The Bournemouth forward was linked with Everton in the summer, with the Toffees said to have considered a £35million offer for the 27-year old.
Nothing materialised though, and now Sky Sports News claim that Wilson, as well as Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic, are both high on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wish-list.

The Norwegian recently admitted that he wants to add more firepower up front in the January window, having not replaced the Inter Milan bound Romelu Lukaku in the summer.
Everton’s current interest in the Cherries star isn’t clear, but with a lack of goals from their forward options so far this season, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that Silva could look to recruit up front in January.

My only concern with a deal for Wilson is over the fee. He has become so important to Bournemouth over the years that it wouldn’t surprise me if Eddie Howe demanded much more than £35million.
He is a great player, and he would add another dimension to Silva’s squad, but Everton could be priced out of a move, especially if other clubs like United weigh in with bids too.
This is of course all hypothetical, because we don’t know whether Everton are in fact still interested. However, it isn’t that unlikely.
