Thinking off the top of my head the one moment that comes to mind for me was the FA Cup semi-final against Liverpool in 2012, where the Reds won 2-1.

Nikica Jelavic scored the opener after a mistake from Jamie Carragher and Daniel Agger, but Liverpool clawed their way back through Luis Suarez after a horror back-pass from Sylvain Distin, and an Andy Carroll header from a Craig Bellamy free-kick in the dying minutes.

That one was really tough to take for me, but there have been plenty of other moments over the years that have equally been tough to sit through. Such is the life of being an Evertonian, that the prolonged time away from success has made each failure more difficult to move past.

Still, when you compare Everton’s team today to the one that played in that semi-final, the Toffees have improved to an absurd degree, although admittedly most clubs have. I try to be positive and look to the future, but I am yet to experience silverware in my lifetime, so lets hope the next one comes sooner rather than later.
