Everton have once again been linked with a move for AC Milan full-back Ricardo Rodriguez.
We covered the reports earlier this week that claimed the Toffees were interested in the Switzerland international, who has fallen out of favour at the San Siro this season.
Rodriguez started the season as first choice left-back for the Rossoneri, but he has lost his place in the side to summer signing Theo Hernandez in recent weeks.
While Milan have just gone through a managerial change with Stefano Pioli replacing Marco Giampaolo, it is expected that the 27-year old won’t claim his starting spot back any time soon.

Rodriguez has since admitted that he ‘wants to play’, leading to speculation that he could leave the club soon, and following Blick’s report that claimed Everton were one such club interested in doing a deal, Calciomercato have now made a similar claim.
Everton reportedly have a list of targets as they seek to strengthen in the left-back department, and Rodriguez is one such player they are sounding out, as are Schalke and Borussia Dortmund.
Leighton Baines’ contract expires in the summer, and Everton will be looking for someone to fill his place in the squad to both support and challenge Lucas Digne.

As mentioned earlier this week, Rodriguez would be a good signing to strengthen the squad, but it isn’t likely to come off.
If Rodriguez does wants more minutes on the field, he is unlikely to get that at Goodison Park, with Digne having nailed down his starting spot on the left.
Still, for a relatively acceptable fee, Rodriguez would be a good addition if the club do indeed want him and the player would be willing to come to Merseyside.
