Five Everton stars who must step up after the international break

Everton currently find themselves in the Premier League relegation zone, sitting in 18th place in the league table.

The Toffees are level on points with Southampton in 17th, with both clubs also having the same goal difference and with the Saints above Everton only on goals scored.

Four consecutive league losses to Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Manchester City and Burnley have put Everton in the position that they’re in, and Marco Silva is now under serious pressure to turn things around.

While much of this is owed to poor personnel management and tactical arrangements from Silva, many of the Everton first-team squad have simply underperformed this season too, with the players also facing heavy criticism and pressure to improve their individual contributions.

Ahead of facing West Ham at Goodison Park after the international break concludes, we’ve looked at five players who must look to get over their personal struggles to give Everton the best chance at rectifying their difficult league position.
