Everton fans won’t miss “not good enough” Niasse when he leaves next summer
Oumar Niasse may have been a bit of a cult favourite at Everton, but it is fair to say that not many fans will miss him for his footballing ability.
We covered the news yesterday that Niasse looks set to be released at the end of the season when his contract expires, alongside Cuco Martina and Maarten Stekelenburg who will also be let go.
The Senegal international striker has endured a torrid time on Merseyside since signing from Lokomotiv Moscow in January 2016.
From being outcasted and humiliated by Ronald Koeman, to falling back out of favour under Marco Silva, Niasse has never really impressed on the field, with only his heart and determination endearing him to sections of the fan base.
However, even those that wish him well won’t miss him when he departs Goodison Park, with several fans declaring so on social media.
