Tom Davies’ performance against West Ham certainly vindicated many Everton fans, after supporters had implored the club to give midfielder a starting run out.
The 21-year old impressed alongside Andre Gomes in midfield, and his performance will certainly have given Marco Silva food for thought when selecting his team for Brighton this weekend.
Davies was energetic on the ball, his passing was strong and he brought a more direct approach than Morgan Schneiderlin has been able to manage so far this season, all in just his first start of the season for the Blues.
Several Everton fans have now doubled down too, declaring that the England youth international deserves even more minutes this season, with the Toffees fast approaching the hectic festive period.
Taking to Twitter, a number of Everton fans discussed which players deserved more minutes this season, and Davies was a very popular answer.

Read Everton Verdict
I’d love to see Tom Davies become a more regular member of Marco Silva’s starting group, but I suppose it all depends on his performance levels.
Davies’ problem in the past has been his consistency. There is no doubting his ability, but so many times he has let his levels drop and then he has been dumped from the starting line-up, then struggling to fight his way back in.
I really hope he can find a balance because it is always positive to see young and local Evertonians progress and succeed with the club. I want him to be a star for the Blues, and now he needs to step up and make his presence felt in a positive manner on a regular basis.
