Yerry Mina is hopeful that he will be passed fit to face Brighton on Saturday.
Everton were handed a potential problem yesterday, with the Colombia international missing training as he struggles to recover from a knock he picked up against West Ham last week.
The centre-back also missed Thursday’s morning session, although having undergone tests at Finch Farm, Mina remains hopeful that he could feature against the Seagulls, as reports the Liverpool Echo.

Everton travel to the Amex Stadium and will be looking for their second consecutive win, having previously lost four Premier League games on the spin before beating West Ham.
Mina has arguably been Everton’s best performing player so far this season, and Silva would have been frustrated to lose the 24-year old as he attempts to reforge his reputation on Merseyside.
As well as Mina, Morgan Schneiderlin and Fabian Delph hope to be fit to face Brighton if they re called upon, while Cenk Tosun’s condition is currently not known.

This is really great news for Everton, who would really have missed Mina’s presence against Brighton. While Mason Holgate could have stepped up, and still might have to with Mina’s situation uncertain, I’d be more confident with the Colombian after his early season form.
It is also nice for an injury scare to not be as serious as it could have been (touch wood), with so many injury issues ravaging the squad so early into the season.
Hopefully now the club can come out of the Brighton game unscathed, leaving just JP Gbamin as the sole long-term injury recoverer.
