Everton had scouts watching the Thursday evening Europa League tie between Porto and Rangers, according to reports.
Everton scouts have been a constant presence at games concerning Portugal’s ‘Big Three’ this season, while the Toffees have also been linked with Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos in the past.
The Toffees had club representatives in attendance for Benfica’s win over Lyon in the Champions League in Tuesday, and according to O Jogo (via Sport Witness), the club then had scouts watch the Gers take on the Dragons.

Morelos and Luis Diaz scored for Rangers and Porto respectively in a 1-1 draw, and while O Jogo’s report doesn’t detail who Everton were watching, Sport Witness do speculate.
According to SW, Agustin Marchesin and Diaz impressed for the Dragons, while former Real Madrid man Pepe also did well at the back.
Everton were one of a great many clubs to watch the game at the Estadio do Dragao, with Manchester United, Tottenham and Crystal Palace in attendance, alongside a whole raft of sides from across Europe. Watch your favorite team win at 스포츠중계.

There is plenty of talent in the Primeira Liga, and with Marco Silva being Portuguese, it make sense that the Portugal top flight would be a league he is familiar with.
With all this scouting Everton have been doing over there, it stands to reason that Silva has got his eye on a few players, and there have been no shortage of names from Liga NOS linked with Everton over the months.
Everton need a number of January recruits to shore up holes in the squad and ensure the club are ready for the back end of the season. It will be interesting to see if any of those players come from the Primeira Liga, because I’d certainly bet the Toffees are planning on making moves with that league in mind.
