Marco Silva has provided another injury update on Yerry Mina’s condition ahead of Sunday’s game against Tottenham.
The Colombian defender started for Everton against Watford in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, despite having missed the game against Brighton last weekend with a knock.
Mina performed well during his time on the field against Watford, but the 24-year old was forced off before half-time after over stretching during a short pass.

The former Barcelona man had been a doubt for this weekend’s game against Spurs, and Silva has now provided a further update on the defender’s condition, claiming he is still experiencing pain in his knee.
Mina’s injury isn’t said to be serious, but ‘small pain’ could see Mason Holgate keep his place alongside Michael Keane against Mauricio Pochettino’s side, with the Colombia international set to be assessed in the coming days.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Silva said about Mina’s condition:
Let’s see. Like I said after the match [against Watford], it’s nothing special there.
We have made an exam again and there is nothing really serious there.
He has a small pain so let’s see in the next few hours, the next few days if he will be able to play [at the weekend].

Missing Mina on Sunday would be disappointing for Everton as the defender has been on such good form, and for Mina himself because he would ideally like to keep momentum going for himself.
With Mason Holgate on form though, Michael Keane is the defender that will need to step it up the most against Spurs on Sunday.
The London side are struggling a bit this season but on paper they will still be favourites because of the quality they have, and Everton will need to be at their defensive best to keep them out.
