Everton are expected to spend heavily in the summer transfer window as Carlo Ancelotti looks set to revamp his squad, following another season without silverware.
It has now been 25 years since Everton last won a trophy – the 1995 FA Cup -and with the financial resources at their disposal, that is something that the club would surely like to see change soon.
Everton may need to target a number of positions in the summer, namely centre-back and central midfield, with those positions currently either too weak in depth or quality.
However, a right-sided winger could also be considered a priority, and following Marcel Brands’ comments about the lack of depth in that position at Everton’s AGM last month (Liverpool Echo), it is safe to assume that the Dutchman is eyeing up targets.
