Everton fans react to Calvert-Lewin winter break trip

Several Everton fans have reacted on social media to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s winter break trip to New York City.

The Blues aren’t set to play this weekend as the Premier League introduces it’s first enforced winter break, with Everton set to play next against Arsenal on February 23rd.

Clubs are also forbidden from playing friendlies during the designated break period, as the Premier League looks to give players time to recover from the busy festive period.

Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in January that the Everton squad were set to be given “four or five days” off during the break period before returning to Finch Farm to train, with the Italian not keen on a warm weather training camp.

As such, the Everton squad have been left to their own devices, with Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies having seemingly jetted off to New York City for a short break.

Everton shared a picture on Twitter of Calvert-Lewin taking in The Big Apple, and a number of fans have poked fun at him on social media.
