Everton fans want the club to be cautious about bringing Gomes back
Several Everton fans have begged caution from the Blues this weekend, as Carlo Ancelotti teased a return for Andre Gomes against Arsenal.
The Portugal international has been out of action since November, having suffered an ankle fracture dislocation under a challenge from Tottenham forward Heung-min Son.
However, Ancelotti revealed to evertonfc earlier this week that the 26-year old has now recovered and is ready to help his club against the Gunners on Sunday.
On whether Gomes could expect to play, Ancelotti said:
My personal opinion is he is ready to play.
When a player has been out for a long period, I think it is better to start the game.
He can prepare properly, (rather) than to put him on from the bench but I have to speak to him and together we can find a solution.
Following Ancelotti’s comments, a number of Everton supporters have urged caution from the Toffees boss, with some showing concern that Gomes could be brought back too early.
