The father of Everton loanee Moise Kean has issued some bold claims regarding Kean’s future on Merseyside.
The father of the Italian striker, who is currently playing for French giants PSG on a season-long loan, had previously enjoyed a remarkable rise in Italian football with Turin titans Juventus.
Speaking in an exclusive interview to Italian news outlet Calcio In Pillole, Moise Kean’s father made the following statements, translated via Football Transfer Tavern:
“What I want is for my son to return to play in Italy as soon as possible.
“Here he grew up, here he became what he is now and it is right for him to return to his country.
“I still remember when as a child I used to accompany him from Asti to Turin, going back and forth almost every day of the week by train.
“This summer when there were rumours of Moise’s return to Juventus, I was very happy and hoped he would return, but in the end they preferred another player.
“Even though I know it’s not over here, I am convinced that sooner or later we will see him again in our championship.”
As per Transfermarkt, Moise Kean did indeed enjoy an impressive breakout 2018/19 season with the Old Lady. He scored 7 seven goals in 17 matches over all competitions while still only a teenager, leading the Toffee to fork out over £25 million to sign the starlet.

Unfortunately for Kean, a move back to Italy may be one avenue through which he can revitalise his career.
His career as a Toffee failed to live up to expectation, only managing 2 goals and 2 assists in 31 games – a painful read for Evertonians.
However, talk of an Italian return may be premature – Kean can still impress in France, and perhaps the denouement of his loan spell is the most apt period to fully assess where the young prospect’s future is best placed.
