Many Everton fans have not held back in voicing their dismay as they laid the blame at Yerry Mina’s feet for the concession of two goals against Scott Parker’s Fulham on Sunday, despite the Toffees winning 3-2.

Fulham briefly drew level following Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal inside the first minute at Craven Cottage. Bobby Decordova-Reid was allowed to drift along the right flank and elude every opponent before powering a shot into the net – with Mina offering plenty of room for him to do so.

Compounding his own issues, Mina’s poor positioning then enabled Fulham to creep back on a two-goal lead and reduce the Cottagers’ deficit. Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s goal, moments after a missed penalty, owed plenty to a fateful deflection off of Mina.

Consequently, many Evertonians were quick to point the finger at the Colombian for his defending.

In what should cause further worry for the 26-year-old, Everton are well-stocked with central defensive depth – Ancelotti has the likes of Michael Keane, Mason Holgate, Ben Godfrey and Jarrad Branthwaite as options in that role.

These football fans took to Twitter to take a pop at Mina for his “woeful” performance in west London:
