In an exciting development ahead of the upcoming January transfer window, the Liverpool Echo confirmed that Everton have made a number of key changes to their recruitment department at all squad levels as they look to bolster their efforts to attract top talents to Goodison Park.
Although a number of key roles are yet to be filled, the Toffees are in the process of revamping and overhauling their existing recruitment structures as the new-look recruitment department begins to take shape.
The club has created seven new roles for potential scouts to identify a variety of attractive youth targets between the under-13s and under-18s level while the club has reduced (and arguably optimised) the number of senior scouts covering some of Europe’s top club competitions.
Carlo Jacomuzzi, who was previously the club’s scout in Italy, has now left the club after the end of his contract with the Toffees. Elsewhere, Portuguese scout Ricardo Figueiredo, who was brought to Everton during Marco Silva’s reign, has departed for an unspecified reason. He was focused on scouting talent in Portugal.
The Liverpool Echo published the following list of the new-look department, which comprises:
Jamie Hoyland – Senior European Scout (Holland, Belgium and Germany)
Nathan Fisher – Senior European Scout (Spain, Portugal and Italy)
Michel Rablat – International Scout (France)
Habib Bamogo – International Scout (France)

This is an especially exciting development and one which should look to future-proof the club at all levels in terms of talent.
The nature of the countries being scouted is indicative of the club’s desire to branch out and incorporate new pools of untapped talent in some promising leagues.
In doing so, that could prompt more effective transfers in not just the upcoming window, but many more transfer windows to come.
