Arsenal and Everton have been heavily linked with a Ligue 1 striker who is giving PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe a serious run for his money in the race for the French top division’s Golden Boot.
Boulaye Dia, plying his trade at Stade de Reims, is a man in a rich vein of scoring form. He has impressively notched eight league goals this season – just two fewer than World Cup winner Mbappe.
He has also scored five more league goals than Mbappe’s PSG teammate Neymar, despite his team languishing at second from bottom in Ligue 1.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, this eye for goal has caught the eye of a number of suitors in England, with the Toffees among the principal suitors keen on the striker.
The French-born Senegalese international’s contract is currently set to run until 2022, and it has been claimed in reports via Daily Express that he might be available for just £10m in a knock-down bargain. However, there is reportedly further interest from fellow Ligue 1 side Marseille, so competition looks to be fierce for Dia’s signature.

Links to Dia could indicate bad news for existing striking backups at Everton, including Cenk Tosun and on-loan Moise Kean.
The prolific Senegalese hitman could be an affordable ideal backup to challenge Dominic Calvert-Lewin for a starting spot, providing reliable cover.
Moreover, Everton could be freed up from a sporting perspective to shave a number of other striking assets off their books and duly cover the cost of a move for Dia – providing substantial profit on top.
