Everton Player Ratings: Leicester City (A)

Carlo Ancelotti’s side stormed to victory in style with a commanding 2-0 victory over Leicester – taking the Toffees to two wins and two clean sheets in as many games.

Goals from Richarlison and Mason Holgate were enough to deny Leicester the possibility of top spot as Ancelotti seems to have rediscovered his winning formula.

There were commanding, hard-working displays all over the pitch as the Blues punished some lax Leicester performances.

Leicester ‘keeper Kasper Schmeichel gifted Everton the lead after palming a speculative curling shot from Richarlison into the net before a later instance of some wonder saves were nullified by a failure for the Foxes to clear their lines.

That opened the door for Mason Holgate to pounce on a loose ball and wrap up all three points for the Blues.

The midfield and defence played a key role in dictating the tempo, though unfortunate injuries to Allan and Richarlison overshadowed the Toffees’ success.
