Reported Everton target Nikola Maksimovic’s agent is set for crunch talks with a number of parties over some of his client’s futures after the agent arrived in Italy.
As per AreaNapoli, Albanian agent Fali Ramandani is in Naples to discuss the futures of a number of figures as he counts Kalidou Koulibaly and Maksimovic as some of the noteworthy figures among his clientele.
Indeed, the defensive duo form the basis of much of the expected discussions that will take place in the Italian city, with the source making some encouraging remarks over the availability of an Everton target.
Whilst the possibility of Koulibaly remaining at Napoli is depicted as being more viable, the source notes it is a different story for the Serbian centre-half.
‘We are moving towards an agreed farewell at the end of the season’, notes the source, with Maksimovic set to be a free agent in the summer if his contract is not renewed.
In turn, that could build further groundwork for a deal to take the 29-year-old to Merseyside.
According to Il Mattino, Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to reunite with the Serbia international, having described him as an ‘excellent’ defender during their time together in Naples.

In a similar fashion to Allan, Ancelotti has shown a willingness to recruit players he has worked with before at Napoli.
There is clearly a personal willingness to work with Maksimovic and admiration of the player. Consequentially, those factors and the Serbian’s contractual availability could render him as a cost-effective option that could bolster Everton’s defensive options.
