Everton board slams ‘privileged’ Big Six amid European Super League news

Yesterday saw six of the Premier League’s biggest clubs announce their involvement in the proposed European Super League.

The footballing world has reacted and it is fair to say that they are not happy.

The prospect of the European Super League takes away every aspect of fair play, leaving just the rich to get richer.

Sadly for football fans of these clubs, the decision has been made without their nohow.

Everton have reacted to the news that broke yesterday with a powerful and damning statement.

The Toffees’ Board of Directors released a joint statement this morning, condemning the six Premier League clubs involved…

One of the overriding comments from the statement is the reminder of these clubs’ privileged positions.

It is key for Everton and other Premier League clubs to remind the top six of their positions.

Despite being powerful, they seem to be disregarding the efforts of every other club in the country for where they are.

These positions of power are not built overnight – they take time, hard work, and effort from generations before them.

For these owners to take that hard work and turn it into a money making scheme for themselves is sickening.

Everton have hit the nail on the head with their statement, and there comments echo the feelings of football fans all over the world.

As Everton state, these six clubs’ “preposterous arrogance” is not wanted in football.
