Virals: Duncan Ferguson Jokingly Slams Everton fan

Everton assistant manager Duncan Ferguson has issued a sternly-worded warning to an Everton fan – but not for a reason one might expect.

In a viral tweet that has garnered over 59,000 Twitter likes and almost 2000 comments, Everton fan Jack Simmons (@JackSimmo1998) shared a video sent to his little brother by Ferguson with some characteristically energetic, foul-mouthed pep-talking.

The Scot was encouraging Simmons’ brother to improve his work ethic and grades in his photography class on the request of his teacher.

And any student could do worse than a kick up the backside from a man rated as one of the ‘hardest’ figures to have graced the Premier League.

Filming inside Goodison Park, Ferguson bellowed:

“Hi young Tom, you alright son, it’s Duncan Ferguson here,” began Ferguson.

“I just wanted to wish you all the best, pal. Your teacher, old Tom, has told me you’ve been ******* slacking off a bit in your photography, is that right?

“We cannae be having that, mate. You better get your finger out and make sure that you get the ***** results.”

As if his no-nonsense approach was not enough, Ferguson was not finished there.

“And if you get the results right and you stick in, I’ll come and see you,” the 49-year-old added.

“I’ll take you for a bit of lunch or I’ll come to your house or something. We’ll sit down and have a wee chat… So you make sure you stick in. Come on, don’t **** the job up.

“Anyway, look: there’s Goodison for you. What do you think of that? Hopefully you’ll be back soon lad. Alright mate – stick in son. God bless from Big Dunc, take care.”

It’s been years since I last found myself at school, but even I’m scurrying off to pick up the pace with my photography work that I never knew I had.

If this is what the fan favourite is like when he is half-joking with a fan, it can only be imagined as to what he is like in a dressing room when Everton find themselves losing at half-time.
