Virals: Fabrizio Romano confirms ‘huge chances’ for Everton target to move

Reported Everton target Donny van de Beek is believed to have ‘huge chances’ of leaving Manchester United in January.

The 24-year-old midfielder has struggled at Old Trafford ever since arriving from Ajax for £35million (BBC).

Heavily linked with a loan move to Goodison Park in the summer, the Dutchman has continued to hold mainly a watching brief in Manchester.

Now according to reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, there is a strong possibility Van de Beek could leave the club in January.

This comes after a report from Calciomercato claimed that the player’s agent, Guido Albers, is trying to arrange a move for his client.

Capped on 19 occasions by Holland at the senior level, the talented midfielder scored 41 times and provided 34 assists in 175 outings for boyhood club Ajax.

This season the ace once described as ‘quality’ by Bruno Fernandes has only played 141 minutes across all competitions.

There can be no doubt Van de Beek has been frozen out in Manchester having arrived with rightful furore.

Somewhat in need of a platform to kickstart a once-promising career again, Everton under Rafa Benitez would be well placed to offer the Dutchman a place to do so.

Valued at £22.50million and under contract at Old Trafford until 2025 (Transfermarkt), a loan move with a view to buy would be a no-brainer for the Toffees.
