Virals: Everton have ‘tested the waters’ for Ivan Perisic signing

Everton have reportedly ‘tested the waters’ to gauge the possibility of singing Inter Milan attacking midfielder Ivan Perisic.

The 32-year-old Croatian international is out of contract at the end of the season and is likely to leave the Serie A giants.

According to a report from L’Interista, as cited by Sport Witness on Twitter, the Toffees are one of the leading protagonists to place an enquiry.

The report claims that ‘in the last few hours’ Everton – along with AC Milan and Roma – have made contact regarding the 111 times capped star.

Despite seemingly facing the final months of a two-year spell at the San Siro, Pericis has scored twice and provided one assist in 14 appearances this season.

Still valued at £9million (Transfermarkt), Everton should be all over signing the versatile Croatian for nothing.

Boasting a 515 game career and a host of titles, Perisic would add vital experience and star presence to the Goodison Park squad.

Hailed as ‘fantastic’ by former Inter boss Jose Mourinho, Blues’ boss Rafa Benitez would no doubt relish the opportunity to work with the experienced ace.
