Everton reportedly want to bring out of favour Barcelona goalkeeper Neto to Goodison Park.

The Toffees were linked with the 32-year-old during the summer following Robin Olsen’s loan spell on Merseyside but a move failed to materialise.

Now a fresh report from Spanish outlet Sport has claimed the Blues are keen on the Brazilian stopper again.

The report states that the once capped Brazil ace is ‘very attentive’ to the possibility of making the switch.

So far this season Neto has made just two appearances for the Catalan giants as Marc-Andre Ter Stegen remains the number one.

The goalkeeper department is one of the few positions of relative strength in depth at Everton right now.

Already boasting Jordan Pickford as first-choice, the capture of Asmir Begovic in the summer has left the bench in strong stead.

Valued at £4.5million and under contract at the Camp Nou until 2023 (Transfermarkt), Neto would be a bizarre expenditure on a squad in need of further options in other areas.
