Eintracht Frankfurt are pursuing a deal for Everton defender Nathan Patterson, according to The Bobble.
The Scotland international has also attracted interest from clubs in La Liga and Serie A, with his future at the Hill Dickinson uncertain ahead of the new season.
Patterson joined Everton from Rangers in January 2022 but has found regular first-team football difficult to come by, with injuries and competition for places limiting his opportunities.
Everton’s right-back options under review
The right-back position has been an area Everton are expected to strengthen this summer.
The club have been linked with, among others, a move for Genoa’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy as David Moyes looks to add another option on the right side of defence.
With Seamus Coleman having departed the club at the end of last season, the club has been planning for the future for some time, but Patterson’s next move could yet influence their recruitment plans.
Frankfurt’s interest will now be monitored as the transfer window develops, with Patterson’s next move likely to depend on whether Everton receive an offer they consider suitable.
For now, Nathan Patterson remains an Everton player, but interest from Germany, Spain and Italy suggests his future could be away from the Hill Dickinson; a situation that has looked on the cards since the end of last season.
