Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Morgan Schneiderlin will be available for Everton when they take on Liverpool in the FA Cup this weekend.
The Toffees will face their bitter rivals at Anfield in the third round of the cup on Sunday, in what will be Everton’s final chance at winning silverware this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been electric in the Premier League this season, having all but won their first league title already, while Ancelotti has led a quiet resurgence on the Blue half of Merseyside, initiated during Duncan Ferguson’s interim spell.

While the Blues will still be missing many key players due to injury, Ancelotti has confirmed that midfielder Schneiderlin will be back in contention for the game, having been missing for the past few weeks.
Everton are suffering somewhat of a crisis in midfield, and with Fabian Delph now a doubt for the game, Schneiderlin’s return couldn’t have come at a better time.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, when asked about possible injuries and updates, Ancelotti said of Schneiderlin:
Schneiderlin trained with us and I think he is available to play.

Schneiderlin is definitely a player who divides opinion, and while it is true that he doesn’t exactly pull up any trees, I do think that the Frenchman adds something to the Everton squad.
When he is on his game, he is composed in possession and he can do the dirty work in that holding role, and if Delph is out I would sooner see Schneiderlin play than Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Given the frustrating amount of injuries Everton have suffered this season, hopefully Schneiderlin can now remain injury free for the foreseeable future.
