Roma defender Alessandro Florenzi could be one of Carlo Ancelotti’s first signings as Everton manager, according to reports.
The Italian coach is reportedly just an announcement away from becoming Everton manager, and the 60-year old has already begun to line up his first transfer targets for the club.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has emerged as one potential recruit, with Ancelotti said to be keen on reuniting with the striker, who he managed at Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Calciomercato, Italy international Florenzi is another player that Ancelotti could target once he has officially been confirmed as Toffees boss.
The Roma captain has struggled for consistent game time at the Stadio Olimpico this season, and Calciomercato’s report claims that the club would be open to loaning him out with an option to buy of around £15million.
The 28-year old Italy international would vie for a starting birth with Seamus Coleman and Djibril Sidibe, should he join the Blues.

With Seamus Coleman and Djibril Sidibe (who can become permanent next summer) already at the club, and with Jonjoe Kenny returning from his loan spell at the end of the season, I don’t see any real need to sign Florenzi.
Should Sidibe elect not to sign permanently for the Blues, and Kenny decide to remain in Germany, then the Italian would be a good option to explore. He is versatile, mobile, and has shown in recent years that he has an abundance of quality as an attacking full-back.
However as things stand, I don’t really see how he would fit in. Ancelotti will likely want to impose his own ideas onto the squad, meaning he’ll also want to bring in his own players that suit his play style, but I don’t think that a right-back should be an immediate priority.
