Everton have been offered a multitude of positive injury updates following Carlo Ancelotti’s recent comments relayed by Patrick Boyland of The Athletic [via Sportslens].
The Toffees face an out-of-form Southampton side with only one point in their last eight Premier League games, and Ancelotti will know that a predatory Everton team could use their win at Liverpool as a springboard to rub salt into the Saints’ gaping wounds.
In that venture, Ancelotti will be bolstered by the returns of two sturdy pillars of his side in Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Allan. The two players have had varying stints out with injury, and the Italian has since confirmed that both will be available on Monday to bolster Everton’s prospects of poaching all three points against Southampton.
Calvert-Lewin came off the bench in the 2-0 win against Liverpool, and his Brazilian midfield teammate Allan was also among the substitutes at Anfield, although he didn’t get a run on the night.

Ancelotti has also declared that Yerry Mina could return to action in as little as two weeks’ time, while long-term injury victim Jean-Philippe Gbamin is making good progress, albeit with no return date set.
Gbamin is "progressing well" but still no date set for return to training. Mina the same. "Two weeks" or so away

Josh King was also a major point of note by Ancelotti, who claimed that he is progressing well and ‘not far away’ from starting in certain games in the future.

The defensive trio of Michael Keane, Ben Godfrey and Mason Holgate worked diligently with Jordan Pickford to keep a clean sheet against Liverpool, but Ancelotti could nonetheless welcome Mina into the fold after injury.
As for Allan and Calvert-Lewin, both men are strongly favoured by Ancelotti and will likely have a key role to play in future games.
However, it is the update on King which is the most intriguing. With limited minutes afforded to him this season, many fans could be itching to see him more often in an Everton shirt. It seems, after Ancelotti’s indications, that King will finally be given the regular game-time he hasn’t been handed so far.
