Aston Villa and Everton agree loan deal for Browning

Everton have agreed to let defender Tyias Browning join Championship side Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.

We understand that the two clubs have agreed a deal and it is now down to Browning to iron out personal terms with Villa.

Browning is currently happy to stay at Everton and continue to play for the club’s under-23 side for the rest of the season.

He has been in the Everton academy since he was 10-years-old, but has only made nine first-team appearances for the club. Browning is now 24 and could be set for a chance to impress at Villa Park in the Championship.

The central defender made 29 appearances for Sunderland in the second tier last season as they were relegated to League One.

Everton decided in the summer that he would not be part of the first-team squad and he has been a regular fixture in the youth side since August.

Aston Villa will now be trying to persuade him to move to the Championship once again as they look to bolster their defensive options ahead of the second half of the campaign.
