I won’t talk that much about Saturday, but what I will say is that I wouldn’t be expecting anything more against United. They’re just as good and we have no players back. We’ll still be just as weak, we’ll be just as scared, and we’ll bottle it as usual. So as I said, we have no players back as […]
The most terrifying game of the season is coming up and we have four first team players injured for the occasion, as is tradition! We’ve never coped well in these games anyway, so adding the injuries to the equation is practically unfair, seeing as Liverpool could probably play their Under-8 side and win 4-0! But […]
Enner Valencia was a complete panic buy when brought in during the closing stages of the summer transfer window – a signing that disappointed many and left many Evertonians writing the Ecuadorian off before he had even kicked a ball. And in their defence, watching him kick a ball at times at West Ham was […]
The Merseyside Derby is coming up this weekend if you haven’t heard. It’s going to be a miserable game, to get that out of the way right now. We haven’t won at Anfield since 1999 and it’s probably going to continue. Séamus Coleman is injured, Yannick Bolasie is injured, Morgan Schneiderlin is injured, James McCarthy […]
We started the game really, really well with a lot of the attacking work coming from Baines and Davies who linked up tremendously well but the first goal was a move started and finished wholeheartedly in Everton. Barkley collected the ball and slotted in Tom Davies who managed to latch on to it on the […]
It’s been a relatively quiet week at Everton, hasn’t it?.. I’m not going to mention it too much, but what I will say is that Lukaku’s going to play, and he’ll probably play well. Sounds a lot like what was happening last week. And the week before. So don’t panic. We’re coming in very strong at home, […]
A good result, a poor game. Well, maybe ‘poor’ is a harsh word. We were very good, controlling the game extremely well and attacking with intent. But beyond that, it was a dull affair. Pulis was insistent on destroying the soul of the game and making sure to stamp on its remains. And that was […]
A lot has changed since the last time we played West Brom, but the biggest thing now is that they are a legitimate threat to a 7th placed finish, and therefore, a possible European adventure. They’ve emerged as a surprise ‘Best of the Rest’ (Assuming that the ‘Best’ here means the top 7 rather than […]
Going into the game, we were on a good run of form with some decent away results in there. But Spurs were just too good for us. No shame in losing like that. We started the game very, very well with Gana and Davies looking great, and the defence was solid. That all changed though […]
During a week where tremendously sad news has passed through Merseyside, it would be a massive oversight not to mention our greatest ever midfielder, and possibly our greatest ever player, Alex Young. Alex Young, like too many families across the blue portion of Merseyside, was incredibly important to my family. My Uncle grew up watching […]
It’ll do like. We made that as hard for ourselves as we possibly could, in a game that we were never troubled We started off very strong with Baines linking up well with both Davies an Gana, and the early pressure paid off (eventually) as Gana smashed home his first Everton goal after a Séamus […]
So it’s been a while, and it feels like even longer seeing as last time out was an affair best left forgotten. A dire 0-0 against Middlesbrough where nobody stood out. So, this time around we welcome back a few familiar faces in Darron Gibson, Jack Rodwell, Joleon Lescott, Bryan Oviedo, Steven Pienaar, Victor Anichebe and […]
