Here’s hoping that this game will be a bit calmer than last time out. For the sake of all of us. Boro are coming off of a miserable run, finding themselves only one point off of the bottom three, with both Hull and Sunderland below them looking like they’re going to give survival a real […]
The season has been one of ups and downs, and if anything, it’s been a ride. From going three months with three wins to being unbeaten in 7 games, and being top of the form table. From Arouna Koné to Ademola Lookman, Tom Cleverley to Tom Davies, Phil Jagielka to Mason Holgate and Maarten Stekelenburg to […]
I don’t know what to write that could even come close to explaining that. It was just odd. Proper odd. We weren’t good. Bournemouth played some nice stuff, but we were clueless at points and so, so lazy. Negativity done. Up the Blues. So, Rom scored after 30 seconds. And within 25 minutes we were […]
The game against Stoke, granted it was frustrating at the time, generated a good point from what were difficult circumstances at the Brittania. Stoke took what could have been a defining lead early on, and frankly, were the better team during an opening exchange in which Everton’s chances were scarce and far from handsome. With Peter Crouch […]
A frustrating night to look back on right now, but in retrospect, it’s a good point. The Brittania (Or whatever it is now) is a tough ground to go to, disregarding all the jokes. Stoke set up very defensively, and we had the better of both halves. However, having the better of both halves is […]
It’s certainly been a while. We ran out winners over Crystal Palace in a tremendously scrappy game, but one that we had to win, and win we did. Forget Schlupp’s attempt at cheating, we scored and won the game. That’s all that matters. Onto Stoke now, and to get something out of the way, I hate […]
In Koeman’s usual pre-match Press Conference, he was asked about the precarious futures of Gerard Deulofeu and Phil Jagielka. Geri has been rumoured to be seeking an exit ever since AC Milan’s interest was reported early in January. Koeman had this to say: I spoke to Geri and it’s a difficult situation for the player. If […]
I don’t think many things will top last week, but that has to be the objective of this Everton side going into the second half of the season. It has to be the benchmark, the ultimate standard. That’s the potential of this side. And these games, against the likes of Palace, struggling badly with relegation troubles, […]
Not only was that probably the most impressive i’ve seen us play for many, many years, it was with a team ripe with young talent. But above all else stood Tom Davies, who lived every Evertonian’s dream by scoring at the Gwladys, then proceeding to jump in with the fans. But it wasn’t only Tom, it […]
It’s been a week of shaking up at Goodison, with a significant transfer coming in, in the face of Morgan Schneiderlin, and two outs. Those being Niasse and Cleverley. Martinez’ legacy right there. Although I will say, I really hope they do well, especially Cleverley. He always gave his all and never said a bad word […]
We came into the game off of a decent string of results, winning 3 of the last 5. This showed In parts throughout the first half, as we were explosive at times. Those times, however, proved to be a muted explosion as we couldn’t penetrate the Leicester defence, which, to their credit, were solid. We […]
Here we go. The FA Cup finally kicks off this weekend for Everton, and we’ll be in it to win it this time, with any luck. Last season was a significant disappointment, especially in the Cup Semi-Final, which ended up being Martinez’ last significant game in charge of the club. He was sacked after slumping […]
