Beni Baningime has claimed that his decision to remain with Everton this season was the best for his career.
The 21-year old midfielder had looked set to leave Goodison Park this summer on a loan deal, however a proposed move to Danish side Brondby fell through.
Reports earlier this month had suggested that Baningime was targeting a January exit too, as he had failed to breakthrough into the first-team at Goodison Park.

Baningime spent last season on loan with Wigan Athletic and having suffered with numerous injury issues, his spell with the Latics was disappointing.
Now though, the midfielder has admitted that working with David Unsworth again has rejuvenated his career.
Speaking to Everton’s website, Baningime said:
Staying at Everton was probably the best thing for me. Playing under a manager I know and I trust is helping to get me back to where I belong.
Unsy is always challenging me. You can never be complacent.
I know if I come in and I’ve even just been a little bit sloppy, he is going to be on me. He knows how good I am. If I do make a mistake, he knows, ‘This isn’t Beni – he can do better’.
It’s important to have someone who has that faith.
Baningime was named on the bench in Everton’s Premier League game against West Ham earlier this month, and with the club’s injury situation, he could work his way into Marco Silva’s plans if he keeps up his performances for the U23s.

I’m glad to hear Beni has made a career decision that he is happy with, but I’m also glad as it will benefit Everton.
Baningime has played for the first-team before, and he never looked out of his depth. Since then, he has matured and developed further, and he could be consider a viable option for Silva to use.
Silva’s integration of youth players hasn’t been great, so I wouldn’t say I expect to see Baningime, but I would like to see if he has what it takes to make the grade for the Toffees
