In a remarkable turn of events, Ross Barkley has pulled the plug on a move to Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports, the Blues had reached an agreement with Everton over the transfer of the England international. A fee had been agreed at £30m, along with additional bonuses, and Barkley travelled to their Cobham training complex for a medical this evening.

However, midway through the examinations, Barkley is understood to have had a change of heart, and has turned down the chance to join the reigning Premier League champions.
Barkley has just under a year remaining on his deal at Goodison Park and was largely expected to leave this summer. Despite this though, it seems as though he is holding out for a move to Tottenham, if journalist Graeme Bailey is to be believed.
