Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci has given the go-ahead for the club to move for Cenk Tosun, according to reports.
The Turkish club have been frequently linked with their former player ever since they sold the striker to the Toffees in January 2018, and the Turkish press have yet another story about the forward ahead of the January transfer window.
Aksam (via Sport Witness) report that Avci is keen to find a partner for Burak Yilmaz, and he has finally given his approval for the Super Lig side to move for their former star goalscorer.
Tosun had struggled for game time earlier this season, being omitted from Everton’s squad on many occasions as he was deemed surplus to requirements by Marco Silva.

Lately however, the 28-year old has come into the team after a string of impressive substitute appearances, that led to a starting role in the last two Premier League fixtures for the Blues.
Despite starting the last two games, Tosun failed to score against either of Southampton or Norwich, and it still looks likely that the forward could be heading out of the exit door in January if the club do look to sign further firepower.
Goncalo Paciencia is just one of many names linked as Everton eye potential recruits to increase squad depth in their forward options.
With a place in Turkey’s Euro 2020 squad on the line, Tosun could yet push for a move in January in order to win more game time, with interest also reported from Spain and Italy.

The Turkish media will not stop linking Cenk Tosun with a return to Besiktas until it happens, so expect to see several more stories emerge in December before we eventually get to the January window.
Tosun has been fortunate to find himself back in the line-up recently, and he has deserved his re-call to be fair, but with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Kean see as the future, Tosun absolutely has to start scoring to keep his place.
For my money, Everton will sell Tosun in January, but I’ll be plenty happier now knowing that the club have given him a chance at least.
