Yannick Bolasie has taken to Twitter to thank Everton for allowing him to leave this summer in pursuit of more first-team football.
The 30-year old was keen to play more regularly this season, and with opportunities expected to be effectively non-existent at Goodison Park, the forward wanted to leave the club.

Having now joined Sporting on a season-long loan, the DR Congo international has taken to social media to thank the Toffees for allowing him the opportunity to play regular football again this season.

Bolasie has come under fire from some sections of Everton’s fan base as of late after a couple of his comments on Twitter were deemed to be disrespectful, and many Everton fans were happy to see him leave the club.
Several fans decided to respond to Bolasie’s new tweet on Twitter, with some wishing him luck and others taking a blase approach to his departure.
