Henen To Sign Permanently

David Henen is expected to complete a permanent move to Everton this week, before being sent out on loan to a Football League club.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Henen is set to sign for £200,000 pounds from Greek club Olympiakos on a five-year deal.

The 19-year old Belgian was on loan at Goodison Park last season, but suffered an ankle injury towards the end of the campaign. He played 19 times for the Under 21s, scoring nine goals and creating two.

The former Anderlecht player has been training at high altitude in a hope to regain full fitness before the new season.

Roberto Martinez hopes to send Henen out on loan to the Championship or League One, but will undoubtedly seek assurances that the 19-year old will get suitable playing time wherever he goes.
